Nancy Wilson and Maisie Richardson
Nancy Wilson is a Grammy Award award-winning jazz musician. Nancy Wilson was born on February 20, 1937, in Chillicothe OH to Olden Wilson who worked at the ironworks as well as Lillian Ryan, a former domestic employee. Nancy was one of six children. The passion for music that her father had and the records he played at home were a huge influence on Nancy when she was a little girl. As young as 4, Nancy already knew that her future was as a performer. The talent she had developed was discovered when she sang in the church choir. In high school when she started appearing regularly on Skyline Melodies. She was 15 when won the TV talent show. She began working in nightclubs at the at the same time. After graduating from high school aged 17 Nancy was enrolled for a semester at the Ohio's Central State College now Central State University before going on to become an accomplished musician. Her first record was recorded in 1956 by Rusty Bryant's Carolyn Club Big Band. They toured with her from 1956-1958. Nancy recorded her first album on Dot Records during the time she spent in this band. Cannonball Aderley suggested she relocate to New York so as to improve her career. In 1959 she moved to The Big Town. Within a short time, she was singing in The Blue Morocco Night Club which is located at Boston Road near The Bronx. The representative of Adderley was able to hear her perform and promptly agreed to sign her. The agent he was working with signed her up to Capitol in 1960. She made her debut that year. Guess Who I Stopped Today. The records she released were also successful. Capitol issued five Nancy Wilson albums in two years. With the help of Adderley's influence she shifted her focus from R&B into jazz. Nancy Wilson, Cannonball Adderley and their 1962 collaboration led her to the top of the charts. Her breakthrough smash Tell Me the Truth by 1963. The performance brought her to the stage at New York Coconut Grove in 1963. It was the most crowded in America's nightclub.
Maisie Richardson-Sellers is a British television and film actress. She played the role of Chloe's character in the Netflix movie The Kissing Booth. In the following year, she was cast in the role of Chloe Winthrop, in Netflix's own original film The Kissing booth Season 2/3.
