Nancy Wilson and Maisie Richardson

Nancy Wilson was born 20th February 1937 in Chillicothe to Olden Wilson, an ironworker, as well as Lillian Ryan (a former housemaid). Nancy was the eldest of six children. Nancy's father was an avid musician and would play records in the family. This was a major influence in her early years. When she was just four, Nancy knew she would be a singer. Her talents were developed by singing with the church choir. When she was 15, she won the talent show on T.V. and was able to regularly appear on The Skyline Melodies Tv Show while being in High School. She began working in night clubs at that similar age. Nancy was just 17 when she graduated highschool. After matriculating at Ohio Central State College - today Central State University - for only one semester Nancy quit to become a professional performer. In 1956 she made her first album with Rusty Bryant's Carolyn Club Big Band. They performed together throughout 1956 until 1958. In the band, Nancy recorded her first album on Dot Records. Cannonball addederley advised her to relocate into New York for her career and, in 1959, she relocated into The Big Town. Within a month she got an offer to sing in The Blue Morocco Night Club situated on Boston Road in The Bronx the place where her agent heard her and signed her. His agent signed her with Capitol in 1960. The year she made her debut was the same year. Guess Who? Capitol released five Nancy Wilson albums within two years. Her first album was focused on R&B and then, with Adderley's influence, she started to take on jazz. The 1962 group collaboration of Nancy Wilson and Cannonball Adderley was instrumental in propelling her to prominence and she had her breakout smash Tell Me the Truth in 1963. The following year, this led to her being invited to the New York's Coconut Grove - the top nightclub in America.

Joy Richardson is her mother. She was a student at an elite private school before graduating from Oxford University. She has an Archaeology and Anthropology degree. Maisie's professional career started as an actor by appearing in the 2012 short Our First World. Her appearance was in a shorter film Americano and Rum as Ellie in 2013. The actress appeared in a cameo role in the film as Korr Sella, in Short Wars: Forces Awakening in 2015. in the Netflix Original Film The Kissing Booth Season 2 or 3, she portrayed Chloe Winthrop.
